Description

Bachelor of Science: Special Education, Slippery Rock University
Masters of Science: Severe and Profound Disabilities, Johns Hopkins University

I have been a special education, pre-school teacher for the past 38 years. I retired from the Anne Arundel County Public Schools in 2008 to devote my full attention to the operation and development of the Cisco Center.

My experiences include teaching students with intellectual disabilities in West Virginia; teaching students who were deaf-blind at the Rosewood Institution in Baltimore County; teaching children in a pre-k special education class in Baltimore City; and teaching Early Childhood Intervention (E.C.I.) classes in Anne Arundel County Public Schools since 1985.

I was also the Director of Camp Greentop located in the Catoctin Mountains of western Maryland over a 22 year period. Camp Greentop is a residential summer camp for children, adults, and families with special needs.

My wife, Carla, is the Assistant Director of the Cisco Center as well as a Speech and Language Pathologist with Anne Arundel County Public Schools. I have three daughters: Katherine, Christina, and Victoria who are all in related fields.
